Muay Thai is one of the most complete and dynamic striking arts in the world built on the mastery of eight weapons: hands, feet, elbows, and knees.

The Muay Thai Lab is designed to teach the art with purpose, combining traditional technique, modern training methods, and a structured weekly programming where every session has intention and every member has a path forward.

Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or refining a skill set built over years of training, the Lab meets you where you are and helps you grow from there. Build your technique, sharpen your mindset, and become a more complete martial artist.

A midday Muay Thai session covering the full striking toolkit through structured drills and pad work. Each class is self-contained and built for members who want consistent Muay Thai development on a schedule that works around their day.

Our competition team competes in sanctioned amateur Muay Thai and kickboxing under Muay Thai Ontario and WAKO Canada.

TYPICAL CLASS ELEMENTS

Warm Up

01

Every class opens with dynamic movement. Skipping, shadow boxing and mobility work to activate the body and sharpen focus before technical drilling begins.

Technique

02

Coaches break down Muay Thai fundamentals step by step across all eight limbs. Stance, guard, punches, kicks, elbows, knees — each session builds a more complete striker.

Pad Work

03

The centrepiece of every class. You'll drive combinations on pads with a coach or partner to put technique under pressure in a controlled, structured and purposeful environment.

Bag Work

04

Power, timing and volume on the heavy bag. Kicks, knees and full combinations to develop output, coordination and confidence across the full striking toolkit.

Work out

05

Muay Thai demands more from the body than most sports. Conditioning is built into every session — clinch strength, kicking endurance, core engagement and cardiovascular output.

Cool Down

06

Stretching, recovery and a moment to reflect on what was covered. Respect for the art and the training partners around you is reinforced here every time.

Adult Muay Thai · Markham

Before You Start

No experience required. The Muay Thai Lab is built to develop skill from the ground up across all eight limbs. Beginners are introduced to the fundamentals before progressing and no session assumes you have trained before. If you have never thrown a kick or a teep, you are exactly who this program is built for.

Dedicated sparring sessions are invitation only. Light, education-first sparring can happen inside a regular class entirely at the coach's discretion, based on the readiness of the students that day. When it happens it is always controlled, always purposeful and always supervised. As a newcomer you are never pushed into it.

For your free trial, just bring a water bottle, shorts and a t-shirt. If you already own gloves and hand wraps, bring them along.

Once you are training Muay Thai regularly you will want your own gloves, hand wraps, a water bottle and hard cover shin guards. Come 10 to 15 minutes early and one of our trainers will help you wrap your hands.

Come 10 to 15 minutes before class and one of our trainers will walk you through it. Online tutorials help too. For ages 12 and up we recommend 180 to 200 inch hand wraps and 12oz or 14oz gloves. 16oz gloves are standard for sparring.

Your first class is free. Membership is one flat monthly fee for unlimited access to everything we offer, Muay Thai and boxing included. There is no long-term contract. You can cancel any time with 30 days written notice before your next billing cycle. Full pricing lives on our Memberships page.

Never. The decision to compete is always yours. Our coaches will guide and prepare you, but the choice to fight has to come from you. The competition team is invitation only and no member is cleared to compete unless our coaches are fully confident they are ready.

All of our main coaches have at least ten years of martial arts experience, a minimum of two years of coaching, and follow a leadership framework aligned with our gym's mission and culture. Every coach and staff member has completed a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check for your safety and peace of mind.
